The Pen Collector
Created on March 11, 2015
Do you ever have trouble finding a pen? Dennis Hamilton doesn’t – he has a collection of 50,000!
51 year old Dennis from Southland has been collecting pens since he was 5 and his garage walls are now lined with his impressive collection.
Dennis collects any and every type of pen, including regular ballpoint pens, themed pens and pens camouflaged as other objects such as lip gloss. His favourite is a carved lion pen.
No two pens are the same and many come from all around the world, collected from journeys or as souvenirs from travelling friends.
Dennis has been unable to find a record for the biggest pen collection in the Guinness Book of Records but he says that he hopes to one day hold the title.
